Hi lovelies!
You might’ve seen on my Instagram Stories (follow me here) this week that we are having some work done in the garden. The work is structural but I wanted to share my floral inspo as I’ve so many shots on my phone of beautiful flowers.
Once the work is done it will need flowers to pretty it up right? I previously shared our garden plans here if you want to have a look at the kind of thing we are doing.
So here are some floral shots for you. Any favourites?
You see I like my gardens a little wild, a little overgrown. I’m not one for a perfectly manicured outside space. My parents garden is a mix of the two; a little wild, but still very organised. These poppies are just beautiful, they’ve been grown from seeds and are incredibly vibrant. They’ve got that wildness that I love too.
I do love roses, these two I spotted whilst out and about. The top one was in Didsbury and the other is in Pannett Park, Whitby.
I actually bought a rose for myself last year and it’s bloomed for the first time this year. Its a Wollerton Old Hall, by David Austen Roses. I chose it because it’s supposed to be repeat flowering, with a beautiful heady rose scent and hardy/healthy for a rose.
Here’s the first bloom! I was a proud plant mama that day 😉
Another plant I love is the Rhododendron, there’s so many different types! I’d love a couple of these in the garden at some point.
Here’s a couple I spotted recently; floral inspiration in Berlin, and Bruntwood Park in Cheadle.
I do love hydrangeas too, mine doesn’t seem to want to flower this year though!? Not sure what is going on.
Do you have a garden? Or a favourite outside space?
What is your floral inspiration? Have you tried growing favoured flowers?
I would love your input
