Last week I was lucky enough to attend a bloggers supper in Manchester.
The event was hosted by Made.com to showcase their ongoing collaboration with rental trailblazers Uncle, ” A landlord that’s got your back”.
It was such a great evening!
There was a handful of interior bloggers there and it was lovely to catch up with, what are virtually, my colleagues.
We were so well looked after and the food was amazing. Catered by Grape & Grain, we had canapes, then a tour of the property and then a sit down meal. My allergies to Dairy and Eggs were dealt with so easily- literally no issues at all. This is also down the lovely ladies at Made.com how communicated it so well to Grape & Grain.

The food was all cooked inside one of the kitchens, so like a proper dinner party really, we were sat next to the kitchen so could see it all in action.
In a nutshell all the apartments inside the Uncle development are furnished with Made.com products. If that’s not reason to move in in itself, there is also a Yoga studio, an Art studio, Gym, co-working space, communal lounging space and secure parking.
The apartments are located inside the stunning, Grade 2 listed, Orient House. A former cotton warehouse built in 1914, tucked away on Granby Row. Right in the city centre, but not on a busy road.
The unique selling point of Uncle is that they own and manage the entire building, enabling them to cut fees associated with lettings, offer a variety of tenancies and speedy repairs.
Visiting Uncle impressed me, not just lovely food and furnishings but a unique concept of living in the city. It felt like a really simple concept but brilliantly executed.
