Ten Blogger Bedrooms

Its that time of year when everyone want a little refresh, maybe a bit of a clearout of stuff that is no longer”us”. Where better to start than with your bedroom?

Today I’m sharing with you ten of the prettiest blogger bedrooms which I think you’ll agree, are so inspiring.

First up is Kirsty’s blue wonder. She is in the middle of what sounds like a HUGE renovation of a place in Margate. Her home is going to be a feast of colour for the eyes when it is finished, and it has so many period features inside, I swoon every time I see what she is up to next. This shot is in her bedroom where there is this gorgeous old fireplace and the tiles in the hearth are to die for!! Go see at Fashion For Lunch.

This next one is home to possibly the best bed I’ve seen! It belongs to Kat Got The Cream  I’d feel like a Princess waking up in this every morning. Seriously, I’d be expecting to be woken by birds on the window ledge outside, who’ve also just thrown together a ballgown!

The bed dominates the bedroom but in the best way possible. Kat has focused on making the bedroom as relaxing and cosy as possible without skimping on a little luxury here and there. A mixture of vintage a modern is always a winner in my book.

Speaking of amazing beds, this next one is completely handmade. That’s right, a handmade bed! How brilliant is that!  Ashley from Lazy Daisy Jones has only just shared this on her blog.

Her clever husband made the bed, that man has some serious carpentry skills and actually I think this is a rather romantic thing too- your partner designing and creating something with their hands, something that will hopefully last you the rest of your lives together. If you fancy going over to the dark side then how about this for a bedroom to aspire to. So grown up, so chic and so glamorous. I can totally picture a sixties film star having this has her boudoir- perhaps even Liz Taylor. This beautiful bedroom room belongs to Kimberley from Swoonworthy, the clue is in the title right? She has completely renovated an Edwardian terrace house and I think her Master Bedroom is one of the highlights. That headboard!! *swoons*

Another lover of the dark side (I’m talking paint colours here in case you are wondering!) is Karen from Making Spaces, who is a big fan of using vintage in the home too. She is an interior designer by day and most of her projects feature on her blog Making Spaces. I’m smitten with her own bedroom seen here, those inky blue walls just highlight the art work and vintage furniture so well. She has almost turned me to the dark side of the paint world, but I’ve not quite given in yet!

Possibly the lightest and brightest bedroom of the bunch here is Lori’s from Wild & Grizzly. She is lucky enough to have a huge bay window that lets the beautiful natural daylight and period features such as the sash windows, and high ceilings. She has maximised the feeling of space in this room by keeping the palette almost neutral with the softest blush pink (Pink Ground by Farrow & Ball) on the walls. There’s a few mini DIY’s in this bedroom that I think you’ll like too!

If light filled rooms are your thing, with lots of white space, then this next one is for you. Katy Orme from Apartment Apothecary has created a really restful space, but still managed to make it personal by including family heirlooms, books and plants. These add texture, colour and character in what otherwise might be seen as a minimalists dream. I admire the way Katy incorporates plants into all rooms of her home, it really gives a sense of life and creates a really happy, homely vibe.

I love Bianca from French For Pineapple‘s bedroom, a return to the Dark Side here, but it seems so light and bright still. I guess it is down to which way the room faces, if you can get away with dark walls.

What really stands out here is the gallery wall. The ever so slightly adult nature of the pictures and photographs is perfect for a grown up space. Set into a vignette with the vintage chest of drawers it looks straight out of a boutique hotel.

This next one is so deliciously girly I could eat it up! Karen Barlow is a stylist and has a rather gorgeous home. Her bedroom is like the fondant on the cake. Pink seems to appear frequently in these bedrooms doesn’t it (this is Pink Ground again by Farrow & Ball)! Lots of thrifted and carboot bargains feature in here. How cute is that little Pom Pom trim stool!

Another pink wall here, and I’ve never been that into pink but it really works in a bedroom. It feels so restful and calm in here. Read more about my bedroom here.
