If you are anything like me you’ll have a lot of prints, photos and pictures.

Some that you are still looking for that perfect frame for, and some that are ready to go on the wall, but you haven’t decided where yet.
Committing to putting a hole, or a few, into the wall… Well it can feel like a big decision. Am I right?!

Well I’ve switched round a few pictures in our home and decided to give Command Strips a try. I’d seen them used for hanging pictures round and about the internet, especially on Little Big Bell.

Eldest and I had collected a few bits that we wanted to use in her room. So it was the perfect opportunity to try these.
I need to say, these photos aren’t great. Apologies for that– the pictures are directly opposite a window so to be able to see the pictures without a reflection, we had to drop the blind and not use the flash! Not great conditions for photography.

We use Command hooks a lot in our house already, they are so useful. I’ve used the hooks to hang a couple of pictures before but the product I’m using this time is the Command strips.

These strips takeaway the need for wire or string on the back of your picture and instead work almost like velcro. attaching the frame to the wall.

So this gallery wall took me about 15 minutes to create.

I’m really pleased that I finally managed to get the big yellow M onto the wall. We’d been puzzling over how to put it up. It is rather heavy and we didn’t really want to put any holes in it as it’s, vintage darling.
So I used two of the larger strips and crossed my fingers that it wouldn’t fall down in the middle of the night and scare my six year old.

It’s been a week now and the M is still in place. It ‘aint going anywhere!

I love using things that arent pictures in a gallery wall set up, so this M works brilliantly, giving a sense of colour, fun and dimension to something that otherwise could look rather dull.
