Well what can I say- I needed 24 hours to get over my day at AltStudio’s in Manchester’s sunny Northern Quarter. But what a day! Real life actual models must be contortionists by the way as my legs are killing me this evening!
And for those of you wondering about my sensitive skin and all that make-up- I prepared my face by using my prescribed creams for a couple of days beforehand then took some high strength antihistamine on the morning of the shoot. And made sure I cleansed it off properly afterwards- no huge reactions!
Check out some of the pictures! I’m really pleased with them. My idea was to go for a Screen Siren look of the 1930’s- 1940’s see my Pin board here for ideas. I’ve always loved these studio portrait shots of the stars of Hollywood’s Golden era- they always look so iconic- no cheesy smiles allowed clearly 😉
Simon who runs Altstudio is fantastic at giving direction and positively encourages you too go for whatever look you fancy- which is also helped by the fantastic makeup and hair artists they have there- in my case Nikki!
