Style Me Vintage- Clothes Book Review

Well when this book arrived through the door for me to review I was taken aback by how tactile it was- beautiful to touch as well as to look at!

Written and created by Naomi Thompson of the amazing Vintage Secret website and blog, and the UK’s first vintage personal shopper- what she doesn’t know about vintage clothing probably isn’t worth knowing!

As part of the Style Me Vintage series it lends itself to those who are starting on their vintage journey but has so much information inside that I would say anyone, however much they already know about vintage, would benefit from having this book in their library . Simply because it seems to contain a lot of quality information in a concise, easy to read style.

The book is divided into chapters under the headings Getting Started, The Looks and Useful Extras. In The Looks chapter each decade from the 1920’s to the 1980’s with fantastic images of members of the The Vintage Mafia and other models along with really handy shopping lists to create day or night looks from each era. This was actually one of my favourite parts of the book- yes I like lists, especially shopping ones!

There’s a directory towards the end of the book too, so for £5.89 from Amazon its worth treating yourself!
